Pruning is a series of important and effective garden operations that are done to increase the quantity and quality of fruit trees. Considering the effect of proper pruning time, intensity and method in increasing the yield of the country's orchards and on the other hand due to the low technical knowledge of how to manage pruning and training of peach trees in the country, therefore, improving the technical knowledge and promoting the proper time and proper pruning of trees to the horticulture community The country is essential. This study was councted in the private peach orchards of 7 important peach producing provinces (Ardebil, Alborz, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari, Khorasan Razavi, Fars, Golestan, and Hamadan). The results of evaluation of the effect of summer pruning compared to winter pruning (custom of the region) in seven investigated provinces showed that summer pruning compared to winter pruning had no significant difference on the yield of studied peach and nectarine trees. Therefore, it is possible to improve the quality of fruit and increase the life of peach and nectarine trees by performing summer pruning without negatively affecting the yield. Also, the results showed that summer pruning while controlling the vegetative growth of trees in the following year, will economically lead to a reduction in the costs of fall and winter foliar spraying. Finally, considering the positive effects of timely management of summer (green) pruning of peach and nectarine trees, it is recommended to implement summer pruning in peach and nectarine orchards of the country by observing technical (pruning time, intensity and method of pruning) and health issues.
