This research was conducted with the aim of showing the crop capacity and production potential of promising rainfed durum wheat lines and comparing them with Zahab cultivar and transferring the research findings to farmers. In this research, grain yield and agronomic characteristics of three durum wheat lines No. 7 (Ouasbar1/Jamile2), 19 (TUNSYR-2/…), and 23 (Quarmal/Gbch2…) along with check cultivars i.e., Saji, Sepand, Tabesh and Baran were evaluated in the dryland fields of farmers in Sarabniloufar of Kermanshah, Ravansar and Dalahoo in Kermanshah province during 2023-24 cropping season. Based on the results across two locations, breeding lines No. 19, 23, and 7 achieved mean grain yields of 3691, 3473, and 3311 kg/ha, respectively, under rainfed conditions showed yield increases of 16%, 9%, and 4% compared to the average yield of the check cultivars—Saji (3254 kg/ha), Sepand (3479 kg/ha), Tabesh (3625 kg/ha), and Baran (2765 kg/ha). Line no. 17 also had straw mean yield (4465 kg/ha) and 1000-kernel weight higher than checks. As a result, line no. 17 with higher grain yield and straw yield than the checks with regard to the increase in income resulting from the increase in its grain and straw yields, if introduces as a new variety, can play an effective role in increasing the production of durum wheat in warm regions of Kermanshah province and other similar regions.
