The purpose of monitoring the cropping pattern program is to oversee, evaluate, refine, and update both anticipated expectations and actual outcomes. In this context, providing feedback to the program's developers and implementers aims to address its weaknesses and enhance its strengths in alignment with the established approaches. According to statistics from the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, West Azerbaijan Province ranks among the top 10 provinces in Iran for the production of various agricultural products. This report begins by presenting an overview of West Azerbaijan Province and its potential in the agricultural sector. Next, the status of cultivation pattern implementation in West Azerbaijan Province is presented, based on information provided by the monitoring working group. In this context, the extent to which the program's goals have been achieved is evaluated concerning the notified cultivation pattern plan. Additionally, the program's realization rate for production per unit area for 70% of the notified crops including irrigated and rainfed wheat, irrigated and rainfed barley, rice, grain corn, rainfed chickpeas, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, fodder corn, irrigated and rainfed alfalfa, melon, irrigated sesame, rainfed safflower, irrigated rapeseed, and sugar beets ranges from 90% to 140%. This indicates the successful transfer of technical knowledge in the province's agricultural sector and the empowerment of farmers.
