The main objective of internal evaluation is to provide appropriate, relevant and up-to-date information about the institution/scientific center under evaluation in order to determine the quality and use the available opportunities to correct weaknesses and improve quality. Internal evaluation depicts the current situation (what is) and the desired (what should be) and to achieve what can be (futurism) so that programs can be reviewed and modified based on that. In order to implement the internal evaluation process of the National Animal Science Research Institute, six factors were considered, including: 1) the factor of programs and policies, 2) the factor of planning and support, 3) the factor of research and technology, 4) the factor of human resources, 5) the factor of education and extension and 6) the factor of satisfaction in the institution. For each main factor, general objectives, specific objectives, criteria and relevant indicators were developed. A total of 19 axes, 52 criteria and 131 indicators were used.
In this report, different forms and questionnaires were used according to the different departments, departments and managements, which were designed as virtual questionnaires. The measurement tools included, documents and registered information, open questions (performance, ratio, number...) and multiple choice questions with 5-point Likert scales. After checking the validity of each questionnaire, it was distributed among the target statistical population according to the contacts related to the questionnaires. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics methods (frequency, mean, minimum and maximum, standard deviation and percentage) and the weighting method (valuation) of the options were used. In order to judge the degree of desirability of the institution's activities in the field of indicators, criteria and factors, the collected information was converted into three levels: desirable, relatively desirable and undesirable. Therefore, the results show that the programs and policies factor is in a relatively favorable situation, the planning and support factor, the research and technology factor is in a relatively favorable situation, the human resources factor is in a favorable situation, the education and extension factor is in a relatively favorable situation, and the satisfaction measurement in the institution is also in a relatively favorable situation. The final results show that the institution is in a relatively favorable situation.
