In this study, the Masal pedigree selection method was applied for purity preservation of cotton seed c.v Shayan, as one of the best varieties in the country. This study was carried out in three years from 2021 to 2024 in Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi and Ardebil provinces, and propagated shayan seeds after exploitation. Based on the morphological and quantitative traits single plant selected in the field for each line. Then, superior plants fiber selected based on the qualitative and observational traits in laboratory. So that after studies complete in three years of the experiment, selected 85, 89 and 90 single plants in Isfahan, 155 and 212 single plants in Neyshabur, and 40, 40 and 40 single plants in Moghan, respectively. The selected plants formed the selection lines for next year and the main nucleus seed cultivated in the region. The additional produced seed for each lines was cultivated as super elit seed in the next year and entered the reproduction seed cycle. The cultivation practice was carried out in Faroese with a plant to plant and row to row distance of 20×70 cm. The highest ten bolles weight of the lines was 56.4 and 54g, respectively, and the highest yield of lines was 4698, 5076 and 4770 kg.ha-1, respectively in the years of project implementation in Isfahan. Also, in Neyshabur, highest ten bolles weight was 3.62 and 61g, and the highest yield was 5609 and 5490 kg.ha-1 in the two years of project implementation, and in Ardabil, the highest ten bolles weight was 6.59, 6.59 and 3.58g, respectively, and the highest yield was 4902, 4952 and 5466 kg.ha-1, respectively.
