In this experiment, in order to assess and compare the grain yield in advanced barley lines from the Northern Warm and Humid zone of Iran, an on-farm observational experiment without repetition was conducted with three elite barley lines selected from uniformity trials carried out in the past years. The lines were included WB-99-6, WB-99-10 and WB-99-11 with check cultivars (Auxin and Nobahar). The experiments conducted in two locations under on-farm conditions: 1- Jafar-Abad and, 2- and Islam-Abad in the 2023-2024.
According to the results, the highest and lowest grain yield in the farm of Jafar-Abad was related to Nobahar cultivar with 4870 kg / ha, and WB-99-6 line with 4550 kg/ha, respectively. In Islam-Abad farm the highest and lowest grain yield was related to WB-99-10 line with 5630 kg / ha, and Auxin cultivar with 5220 kg/ha, respectively.
Considering the average grain yield in the farm of tow locations showed that, the highest grain yield was obtained in Nobahar cultivar with the amount of 5225 kg / ha and in next place, with a small difference, was WB-99-10 line with the amount of 5150 kg / ha. WB-99-11 and WB-99-6 lines were in the next ranks with average yields of 5105 and 4960, respectively. The lowest average yield in the two assessment areas was related to the Auxin cultivar with a value of 4950 kg / ha. In general, according to the results of grain yield in the lands of two locations, line WB-99-10 has the ability to compete with the Nobahar cultivar in the coming years in Moghan region. Considering the superiority of the WB-99-10 line in these tests, it can be said that this line has the ability to be developed in the farms of these areas, and it is necessary to introduce this line to the farmers by promoters and experts.
