Anzali Wetland is located in the vicinity of Bandar Anzali city in Gilan province, northern part of Iran and along the southern shores of the Caspian Sea. This wetland was included in the list of international Ramsar wetlands in 1975 and was registered with site number 40 and in 2023, its area is reported to be 19 and a half thousand hectares. Anzali Wetland, having different habitats, supports the abundance and species richness of plant and animal species. In recent years, with the expansion of urbanization and the increase of human activities, the process of entering the Anzali lagoon has intensified and the overnutrition phenomenon has intensified in this wetland. In this research, the chemical and physical factors affecting the overnutrition phenomenon in different areas of Anzali Wetland were investigated for one year from March 2022 to January 2023. The mentioned chemical factors were measured by titrimetric, spectrophotometric and instrumental methods and using the international standard work method provided by the American Environmental Association. trophic status index (TSI) was calculated based on chlorophyll a, phosphorus, and total nitrogen factors. Based on the results, chlorophyll a, dissolved oxygen, bicarbonate and nitrogen factors have the greatest effect on the intensity of overnutrition in Anzali wetland. Pirbazar region had higher overnutrition intensity than average and Sarkhankal region had lower overnutrition intensity.
