This project consisted of two parts: crossing wheat varieties and lines in crossing blocks and selection in wheat segregating generations. Crossing wheat varieties and lines was carried out with the participation of 300 improved bread wheat genotypes, landraces wheats and synthetic hexaploid wheats in the form of crossing blocks of the northern climate. The purpose of this research was to prepare a diverse population by hybridization. A total of 180 programs were carried out in the research stations of Gorgan and Karaj. Also, in this project, 277 F1 (simple and compound hybrids) resulting from the hybridization program of the previous year were evaluated in the research station of Gorgan and Karaj. In the second part (segregating generations), 163 F2 populations from crosses in Gorgan and Karaj, 386 numbers from the F3 generation, 100 numbers from the F4 generation, 187 numbers from the F5 generation, 322 numbers from the F6 generation were planted in Gorgan and Moghan and were examined and evaluated using the modified pedigree-bulk method. In the study of the F2 population, 305 plants in Gorgan and 347 plants in Moghan were selected for evaluation in the F3 generation the following year. In the study of the F3 generation, which was conducted by the head row method after field selection and removal of shriveled and diseased seeds, 83 numbers in Gorgan and 64 numbers in Moghan were finally selected. In the F4 generation, after field and laboratory selection, 24 numbers in Gorgan and 40 numbers in Moghan were finally selected for further evaluation in the F5 generation the following year. In the F5 generation, after selecting the desired plants and thrashing them separately and discarding the shriveled and diseased seeds, finally 53 numbers in Gorgan and 347 seeds in Moghan were selected for further study in the F6 generation. Also, in the Gorgan and Moghan research stations, 72 and 64 lines, respectively, were selected from the F6 generation using the plant-by-row method to participate in PWSN-N03 experiment the following year.
