There were two expriments in this study. In the first experiment, in order to select high-yielding lines with desirable agronomic traits, 125 genotypes along with 4 controls (Armaghan, Gohoran, and MB-00-03 and MB-00-05 promising lines) were studied in a systematic statistical design (observational without repetition) at five temperate research stations (Karaj, Birjand, Kashmar, Varamin and Yazd) in the 2023-24 cropping season. The grain yield of the lines and their compatibility was examined using a non-parametric ranking method. Considering all the results (especially yield and yield components and diseases), 54 lines that which were superior to the control varieties or at the level of the control varieties were selected and were directed to the Advanced Performance Comparison Experiment in 2024-25 copping season. The average grain yield of all genotypes studied was 3884 kg/ha, but the average grain yield of the selected materials (54 lines) from this experiment was 4309 kg. In the second experiment, 54 advanced barley lines in three Advanced Barley yield trial include: AMBYT-1, AMBYT-2 and AMBYT-3 experiments along with two checks Armaghan variety and MB-00-10 promising line were evaluated in Karaj, Varamin, Kashmar and Birjand research stations. Experimental design in all stations was RCBD with three replications. Necessary care was taken during the growth period of the plant. After harvesting and collecting data, simple and combined variance analysis were performed. Ranking method used for investigation of genotypes stability. By attention to recorded traits, mean yield comparision and other desirable traits, from the AMBYT-1 experiment, lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 17 and 18, from the AMBYT-2 experiment, lines 2, 6, 7 and 18, and from the AMBYT-3 experiment, lines 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 16, 17 and 19 were selected for final evaluation in adaptation experiments (normal, drought and salinity) in the 2024-26 cropping seasons.
